Required Qualifications

- 6+ years of professional experience in security engineering, network security, firewall engineering, or cloud security.
- Strong hands-on experience with Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) .
- Solid hands-on experience administering Cisco Firepower Management Center (FMC) .
- Experience designing, configuring, and troubleshooting Cisco FTD access control policies, NAT, routing, VPNs, intrusion policies, and security zones.
- Experience with Cisco FTD high availability, failover, software upgrades, backups, licensing, and operational health monitoring.
- Experience with Cisco AnyConnect and Cisco remote access VPNs.
- Experience designing and supporting site-to-site IPsec VPNs and hybrid connectivity solutions.
- Strong Azure cloud networking and security deployment experience.
- Expertise in firewall policy management, NAT, ACLs, VPNs, routing, segmentation, and application connectivity troubleshooting.
- Experience with Azure VNets, subnets, route tables, NSGs, Azure VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute, and hybrid network architectures.
- Experience across design, build, test, migration, cutover, production handoff, and operational support phases.
- Experience with firewall migrations, including Cisco ASA-to-FTD migration or equivalent enterprise firewall transformation.
- Strong technical documentation, analytical,



troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in hybrid cloud and enterprise network environments.
- Ability to interpret firewall logs, VPN diagnostics, packet captures, and network traffic flows.

Preferred Qualifications

- Cisco certification such as CCNP Security, CCNA Security, or Cisco Certified Specialist - Security .
- Experience supporting enterprise Cisco FTD deployments in Azure.
- Experience with Cisco Secure Firewall Threat Defense Virtual, including Azure Marketplace or cloud-based deployments.
- Experience with Cisco FMC integrations, centralized policy management, reporting, and event monitoring.
- Familiarity with Cisco SecureX, Secure Firewall Management Center integrations, or SIEM platforms.
- Experience with firewall automation, APIs, Infrastructure as Code, or configuration management tools.
- Familiarity with change management and release governance processes.
- Experience with enterprise firewall migration planning, rule cleanup, policy recertification, and post-migration optimization.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
