We are looking for a hands-on Hardware Lab Engineer with 3-5 years of experience in electronics hardware testing, PCBA assembly and rework, hardware debugging, board bring-up, and laboratory support.
The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of analog and digital electronics, embedded hardware, power supplies, communication protocols, and control systems , along with practical experience in SMD soldering, PCBA troubleshooting, test setup development, and electronics lab operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain manual and automated test simulators for embedded control hardware.
- Design and build test setups, fixtures, and simulators to support hardware development and validation.
- Perform high-precision PCBA hand assembly, SMD soldering, rework, and validation .
- Debug, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair PCBA modules and electronic circuits .
- Support electronics board bring-up , functional testing, and validation against project requirements.
- Assist with basic hardware design activities related to power supplies, embedded hardware modules, and automation systems .
- Perform hardware testing and identify root causes of electronic circuit failures.
- Support control system wiring, cable/harness preparation, and laboratory build activities .
- Select and source electronic components, parts, tools, and laboratory materials based on project requirements.
- Maintain and manage electronics lab inventory, stores, and component records .
- Coordinate with Controls Engineering Lab engineers and project teams to provide hands-on technical support.
- Support procurement activities for electronic components and laboratory equipment.
- Ensure laboratory equipment, components,
and materials are properly organized and available for engineering activities.
Required Skills Qualifications
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in Electronics Hardware / Hardware Lab / Embedded Hardware / Electronics Testing .
- Strong understanding of electrical and electronics engineering fundamentals .
- Hands-on experience with PCBA assembly, SMD soldering, rework, and repair .
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills for electronic circuits and PCBA modules .
- Practical experience in board bring-up, hardware testing, and validation .
- Experience developing manual or automated hardware test simulators, test setups, test benches, or fixtures .
- Good understanding of analog and digital circuit design .
- Practical knowledge of embedded hardware modules and microcontroller-based systems .
- Basic knowledge of power supply design and power electronics .
- Working knowledge of communication protocols such as:
- I2C
- USART
- RS232
- RS485
- Experience with control wiring, harness preparation, and electrical laboratory builds .
- Experience managing electronics components, lab inventory, stores, and materials .
- Exposure to electronic component sourcing and procurement .
- Ability to diagnose hardware faults and perform hands-on repairs with minimal supervision.

Ability to debug, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair faulty hardware circuits using knowledge of analog/digital electronics, embedded modules, power supplies, and communication protocols.
Lab Inventory Operations
Ability to manage electronics laboratory inventory, components, stores, and material procurement , while providing effective technical support to engineering and project teams.
