Designation: Sr. Project engineer

Exp: 5+ yrs

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and model sheet metal components and assemblies using CATIA V5 Sheet Metal Design
- Develop BIW/closure/chassis components with consideration of packaging
- Validate design feasibility with manufacturing and stamping processes.
- Integrate GD&T; and tolerance stack-up analysis to meet functional and assembly requirements.
- Release 2D drawings and 3D models per automotive standards and PLM guidelines

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering or equivalent.
- 5 years of experience in sheet metal design for automotive applications using CATIA V5.
- Solid understanding of automotive sheet metal design principles including hemming, flanging etc.




- Familiarity with manufacturing processes like stamping, welding, laser cutting, and forming.
- Experience with GD&T;, DFMEA, and DFM/DFA best practices.
- Experience using PLM systems such as Teamcenter, ENOVIA, or equivalent.
- Robust communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Prior experience in BIW, closures, or underbody systems design.
- Exposure to OEM/Tier-1 development cycles and release processes
- Knowledge of automotive materials and coatings.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards
