About the RoleHamster London is looking for a dynamic and customer-focused Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in managing day-to-day store operations, driving sales performance, leading the retail team, and delivering an excellent customer experience.

The ideal candidate should have strong retail sales, team handling, customer service, and store operations experience, preferably from the fashion, lifestyle, premium, or luxury retail industry.

Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Business Performance

- Drive daily, weekly, and monthly store sales targets.
- Monitor and improve key retail KPIs such as ATV (Average Transaction Value), UPT (Units Per Transaction), conversion, and productivity.
- Motivate the sales team to achieve individual and store-level targets.
- Analyse daily sales reports and identify areas for improvement.
- Support promotional activities and new product launches.

Team Management

- Supervise, guide, and motivate the store sales team.
- Allocate daily responsibilities and manage staff deployment during shifts.
- Conduct regular team briefings and performance reviews.
- Train team members on product knowledge, customer handling, and sales techniques.
- Maintain discipline, attendance, grooming, and professional standards within the team.

Customer Experience

- Ensure excellent customer service and a premium shopping experience.
- Handle customer queries, complaints, and escalations professionally.
- Support the team in product selection, upselling, and cross-selling.
- Build strong customer relationships and encourage repeat purchases.

Store Operations

- Assist the Store Manager in opening and closing the store.
- Ensure smooth day-to-day store operations.
- Maintain store presentation,



cleanliness, grooming, and brand standards.
- Ensure proper Visual Merchandising (VM) and product display.
- Coordinate with the Store Manager/Retail Head regarding operational requirements.

Inventory & Stock Management

- Monitor stock availability and maintain inventory accuracy.
- Coordinate stock receiving, transfers, replenishment, and stock counts.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of merchandise.
- Report stock discrepancies, damages, or shortages to management.
- Maintain proper documentation related to inventory and store operations.

Reporting & Compliance

- Prepare and share daily/weekly sales and operational updates.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs, and retail processes.
- Coordinate with the Store Manager, Retail Head, and HO teams whenever required.
- Ensure all store processes and customer-service standards are followed.
- Candidate RequirementsExperience: 1–4 years in retail sales/retail management; lifestyle or fashion retail experience preferred.
- Graduate in any stream preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good leadership and team-handling abilities.
- Strong sales and customer-service orientation.
- Positive understanding of ATV, UPT, conversion, and sales targets.
- Comfortable working in rotational shifts.
- Should be comfortable working in a rapid-paced retail environment.
- Presentable personality with a professional approach.
- Shift & Working ConditionsWorking Days: 6 days a week
- Shift: Rotational – approximately 10:00 AM–7:00 PM / 1:00 PM–10:00 PM
