- Recognize and appropriately manage medical emergenciesacute deterioration and life-threatening conditions.
- Participate in resuscitation and emergency responseincluding advanced life-support procedures as appropriately trained and credentialed.
- Initiate and monitor appropriate investigationstreatments and therapeutic interventions.
- Assist with management of patients requiring mechanical ventilationnon-invasive ventilation and other forms of respiratory support.
- Monitor hemodynamic status and assist in the management of patients requiring vasoactive and other critical-care therapies.
- Participate in procedures within the scope of traininghospital privileges and credentialing.
- Ensure timely documentation of clinical assessmentsprogress notestreatment plansprocedures and discharge summaries.
- Communicate effectively with patients relatives regarding clinical conditiontreatment plans and prognosisin coordination with the treating consultant.
- Coordinate with specialists from other departments for multidisciplinary management of critically ill patients.
- Work closely with nursingrespiratory therapy physiotherapy pharmacy laboratory and other support teams.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policiesinfection-control practicesmedication-safety standards and critical-care protocols.




- Identify and escalate any significant clinical deterioration or concerns to the Consultant / Clinical Head promptly.
- Participate in morbidity and mortality meetingsclinical auditscase discussions and departmental academic activities.
- Contribute to quality-improvement patient-safety and evidence-based practice initiatives within Critical Care Services.
- Participate in teaching and mentoring of junior doctorsresidents and other clinical staffas applicable.
- Maintain qualified competence through continuing medical educationtraining and relevant certifications.
- Ensure ethicalprofessional and patient-centred clinical practice at all times.
