Food Technologist / QC Executive

Role Summary

We are looking for a qualified Food Technologist / QC Executive to monitor product quality, production processes, hygiene, food safety, documentation, and new product trials in our dairy and frozen dessert manufacturing unit.

The candidate will work closely with Production, Stores, Procurement, and Management to ensure consistent product quality and compliance with food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor daily production of Ice Cream, Kulfi, Dairy Desserts, Frozen Drinks and Milk-Based Products.

- Check incoming milk, dairy ingredients, flavours, fruits, nuts, packaging materials and other raw materials.

- Perform routine quality checks during production and packing.

- Monitor parameters such as temperature, Brix, pH, acidity, viscosity, weight and product consistency wherever applicable.

- Ensure proper pasteurization, homogenization, ageing, freezing, filling, hardening and cold-storage procedures.

- Maintain hygiene, sanitation, GMP and food safety standards throughout the production area.

- Ensure compliance with FSSAI, GMP and HACCP requirements.

- Maintain daily QC records, batch records, production records and traceability documentation.

- Verify product labels, batch coding, manufacturing date, expiry date and packaging details.

- Conduct finished-product inspection before dispatch.

- Monitor freezer, cold room and storage temperatures.





- Support shelf-life studies and product stability monitoring.

- Participate in new product development and product trials.

- Standardize recipes and manufacturing processes.

- Investigate quality issues, production deviations and customer complaints.

- Prepare CAPA reports and follow up on corrective actions.

- Coordinate with production staff to prevent repeat quality issues.

- Ensure proper cleaning and sanitation of equipment, utensils and processing areas.

- Maintain samples of production batches wherever required.

- Support internal and external food safety audits.

Qualification

- B.Tech / B.Sc / M.Sc in Food Technology, Food Science, Dairy Technology or related field.

- Freshers and candidates with 0–5 years of experience may apply.

- Experience in dairy, ice cream, frozen desserts, beverages or food manufacturing will be preferred.

Required Skills

- Knowledge of food manufacturing and quality-control procedures.

- Basic understanding of FSSAI regulations.

- Knowledge of GMP, GHP and HACCP.

- Good documentation and reporting skills.

- Ability to identify production and quality issues.

- Good communication and coordination skills.

- Basic computer knowledge including MS Excel and Word.

- Willingness to work directly on the production floor.

Preferred Candidate

Candidates with practical knowledge of milk processing, ice cream, kulfi, dairy desserts, frozen beverages and cold-chain handling will be given preference.

Immediate joiners are preferred.
