Executive Producer Republic Bharat TV | Production Role Overview Republic Bharat TV is seeking a dynamic, decisive, and highly experienced Executive Producer – PCR Head to lead the overall PCR operations and production execution of the channel. The role will be responsible for ensuring seamless on-air execution, production excellence, operational discipline, and high-quality broadcast output across live bulletins, prime-time shows, breaking news, debates, special programming, and major news events. The Executive Producer will act as the key production and PCR decision-maker, leading the PCR team, coordinating with Editorial and Technical functions, and ensuring that every broadcast meets Republic Bharat’s standards of speed, impact, accuracy, quality, and execution. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities PCR & Broadcast Operations • Take complete ownership of PCR operations and on-air execution across assigned programming and shifts. • Lead and supervise PCR operations for live bulletins, prime-time shows, breaking news, debates, special programming, and major events. • Ensure smooth coordination between PCR, Editorial, Production, MCR, Graphics, Audio, Playout, Studio, and Technical teams. • Oversee the complete broadcast workflow from rundown preparation to final on-air execution. • Ensure seamless switching between stories, live inputs, packages, debates, graphics, studio elements, and breaking news inserts. • Maintain broadcast continuity while ensuring minimum dead air, technical disruptions, and on-air errors. • Take decisive real-time calls during live broadcasts, including programming changes, breaking news inserts, live-feed issues, technical challenges, and last-minute editorial requirements. Show Execution & Production Control • Plan, structure, review, and approve show rundowns from a PCR execution perspective. • Ensure correct sequencing, timing, story flow, graphics, packages, live inputs, and studio elements. • Maintain the pace, energy, continuity, and impact of live programming. • Ensure all on-air elements are broadcast accurately and within defined timelines. • Exercise strict quality control over scripts, headlines, supers, tickers, graphics, packages, visuals, debates, live feeds, and other broadcast elements.



• Ensure all programming adheres to channel protocols, editorial guidelines, legal requirements, regulatory standards, and broadcast best practices. Breaking News & Live Coverage • Lead PCR execution during breaking news and developing stories, ensuring immediate and seamless programming shifts. • Coordinate with Assignment, Input, Output, Reporters, Anchors, Graphics, and Technical teams for rapid deployment of breaking coverage. • Ensure effective integration of live reporters, video journalists, agency feeds, field inputs, social/digital inputs, and other live sources. • Take ownership of PCR execution during high-pressure situations, major news events, elections, special coverage, and continuous live programming. Team Leadership & People Management • Lead, manage, and supervise PCR Producers, Directors, Vision Mixers, CG Operators, Audio Mixers, and other production resources such as Graphics, Editor and NLE. • Establish clear responsibilities, accountability, and performance expectations within the PCR team. • Mentor and develop PCR team members to strengthen their technical, operational, and broadcast capabilities. • Conduct regular performance reviews and identify areas for improvement. • Ensure adequate manpower planning and effective deployment of PCR resources across shifts. • Maintain strong discipline, coordination, ownership, and operational accountability within the team. • Ensure effective shift handovers and continuity of information between teams. Process & Operational Excellence • Identify gaps in PCR workflows and implement measures to improve efficiency, speed, accuracy, and broadcast quality. • Establish and maintain robust PCR processes, checklists, workflows, and operational standards. • Ensure proper maintenance of broadcast logs, production documentation, incident reports, and other operational records.



• Work closely with Technical teams to identify recurring issues and implement preventive measures. • Ensure optimal utilization of PCR infrastructure, broadcast systems, live feeds, graphics, audio, and other production resources. • Drive a culture of zero tolerance for avoidable operational and on-air errors. ________________________________________ Behavioral Expectations • Strong, decisive, and high-ownership leadership style. • Exceptional understanding of PCR operations and live television production. • Ability to remain calm and make quick, accurate decisions during high-pressure live broadcasts. • Strong sense of urgency and ability to operate in a 24x7 newsroom environment. • Excellent coordination and communication skills across Editorial, Production, and Technical teams. • High attention to detail with zero tolerance for avoidable on-air errors. • Strong people-management and team leadership capabilities. • Ability to enforce accountability, discipline, and operational standards. • Willingness to work rotational shifts, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as required by a 24x7 news operation. ________________________________________ Required Qualifications & Experience • 15 years of experience in television news production/PCR operations, preferably with a leading Hindi news channel. • Proven experience in a senior PCR/Production leadership role such as Executive Producer, PCR Head, Senior Producer, or Show Producer. • Strong hands-on understanding of PCR operations and live television production. • In-depth knowledge of Vision Mixing, Audio, CG/Graphics, MCR, Playout, Studio Operations, Live Feeds, and Broadcast Systems. • Strong experience in rundown management and live show execution. • Proficiency in iNews or similar Newsroom Computer Systems (NRCS). • Proven experience in handling breaking news, live broadcasts, debates, prime-time programming, special coverage, and major news events. • Solid understanding of coordination between Editorial, Input, Assignment, Output, PCR, MCR, Graphics, Audio, Reporters, Anchors, and Technical teams. • Excellent command of Hindi and English, with strong communication skills. • Demonstrated ability to lead large PCR/Production teams and manage multiple shows/shifts independently.
