The Debt Resolution Officer (DRO) is responsible for managing and visiting delinquent customer accounts and driving recoveries through effective negotiation. The role requires achieving collection targets while ensuring strict adherence to regulatory guidelines and company policies, contributing directly to the organization’s financial health and portfolio quality.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage allocated overdue accounts and proactively follow up with customers to ensure timely resolution of outstanding dues.
• Visits of all the delinquent customers and Feedback Update in system
• Negotiate and structure repayment plans, one-time settlements, and payment commitments aligned with customer capacity and company policy.
• Achieve monthly recovery, roll-back, and productivity targets as defined by the Collections team.
• Record and update all collection activities accurately in the collections management system,
maintaining a complete audit trail.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders—including operations, legal, and credit teams—for the closure of escalated and complex cases.
• Ensure compliance with RBI fair practices guidelines, and internal code of conduct at all times.
• Identify patterns in delinquent accounts and provide feedback to help improve underwriting and collection strategies.
