- Oversee routine maintenance, servicing, engine diagnostics, and repair work for all school buses and transport fleet vehicles.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, brake checks, and quality audits to maintain optimal vehicle safety standards.
- Ensure compliance with all regional transport authority (RTA/RTO) regulations, fitness certificates, pollution checks, and insurance renewals.
- Coordinate emergency roadside repairs and manage breakdown recovery if issues occur on transit routes.
- Supervise drivers and mechanic staff, enforcing vehicle operation guidelines and safety protocols.
- Maintain complete records of fuel consumption, maintenance schedules, spare parts inventory, and repair costs.
Requirements:
- Degree/Diploma in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering.
- 3+ years of experience in heavy commercial vehicle or fleet management.
- Solid knowledge of vehicle mechanics, safety protocols, and regional transport laws.
