Key Production Line QC Jobs

Incoming QC Inspector: Checks raw metal coils, sheets, or plates for thickness, grade, and surface defects before production starts.

In-Process QC Inspector: Monitors active production lines, performing routine dimensional checks on bent, cut, or stamped parts.

Fabrication & Welding QC Inspector: Inspects joint integrity, weld sizes, and alignment using visual or non-destructive testing (NDT).

Quality Control Engineer: Analyzes data, sets tolerance thresholds, leads root-cause investigations for line rejections, and manages standard compliance.

Final/Outgoing QC Inspector: Performs a comprehensive audit of finished sheet metal assemblies and packaging before shipping.

Blueprint & Drawing Verification: Reading CAD models, technical drawings,



and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T;) specifications

Precision Measurement: Using calipers, height gauges, micrometers, and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to verify tight tolerances.

Defect Identification: Catching stamping burrs, springback errors, incorrect bend angles, cracks, and welding porosities.

Process Tracking & Documentation: Logging inspection metrics, updating scrap reports, and maintaining ISO or industry compliance records

Corrective Actions: Partnering with production engineers on the shop floor to resolve root causes when defect rates spike.
