SDF Furniture Studio Pvt. Ltd. (est. 2012) is a leading furniture manufacturer and retailer based in Ahmedabad. We design and build high-quality furniture for residential and commercial use including sofa sets, sofa-cum-beds, beds, wing chairs, dining tables, center tables, TV units, puffy, wardrobes and full-custom solutions. Role Overview

The Factory Manager will run daily factory operations and make sure customer orders from the store are produced correctly and on time. He will start the execution of each order, manage raw material needs proactively, check product quality and packaging, and keep the factory working smoothly. In short this person will manage everything inside the factory.

Your Key Responsibilities

● Production Management

○ Receive orders from the store and start production on time.

○ Plan jobs, assign work to teams, and track progress until completion.

● Material Planning

○ Check raw material stock regularly and forecast future needs.

○ Arrange materials in advance and maintain good supplier coordination.

● Quality Control

○ Inspect products at every stage for finish, strength, and appearance.

○ Ensure defects are corrected before packing.

● Packaging & Dispatch

○ Ensure proper and safe packaging of finished products.

○ Approve products for dispatch and installation.

● Team Supervision

○ Supervise factory staff including carpenters, upholsterers, painters, packers, and helpers.

○ Train current workers and maintain work discipline.





● Production Tracking & Reporting

○ Maintain daily production records and update order status.

○ Report delays, issues, or risks to management on time.

● Work Scheduling

○ Prepare production schedules to meet committed delivery timelines.

○ Optimize factory capacity and manpower.

● Safety & Cleanliness

○ Ensure factory safety rules, machine maintenance, and cleanliness.

● Cost Control

○ Monitor material usage and wastage.

○ Suggest cost-saving improvements without affecting quality.

● Store Coordination

○ Coordinate regularly with store managers on order details, changes, and delivery schedules.

Working Pattern

● Working hours will be 10:00am to 08:00pm.

● Weekly Off: Sunday

Skills & qualifications

● Minimum 1 year of experience in furniture factory operations, production, or workshop management.

● Good knowledge of woodwork, upholstery, laminates, finishing, and packing.

● Ability to lead and manage factory workers and get work done on time.

● Strong in production planning, scheduling, and meeting deadlines.

● Good eye for product quality and finishing details.

● Good communication in Gujarati and Hindi.

● Basic computer knowledge (Excel / Google Sheets for simple reports).

● Quick problem-solving and decision-making skills.

● Honest, responsible, punctual, disciplined and accountable for factory work and results.
