About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Website Developer Intern to join our team. The intern will assist in maintaining, optimizing, and updating our website’s backend to improve performance, functionality, user experience, and overall results.

The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of web development, website content management, and a willingness to learn backend optimization and technical improvements.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in managing and maintaining the website’s backend.
- Optimize website performance, loading speed, and overall functionality.
- Identify and fix backend issues, bugs, and technical errors.
- Update and manage website hero images, banners, catalogues, product details, offers, promotions, and other website content.
- Upload and replace images, videos, documents, and other digital assets as required.
- Ensure website content, pricing, offers, and promotional information are updated accurately and on time.
- Assist in creating and updating website pages, landing pages, and promotional sections.
- Update website plugins, themes, and other backend components as required.
- Assist in improving website structure, navigation, and user experience.
- Support SEO-related technical improvements, including website speed, mobile responsiveness, and basic on-page optimization.
- Monitor website performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Assist in database management and website backups where required.
- Coordinate with the digital marketing and creative teams to implement website updates and improvements.




- Test website features and ensure proper functionality across devices and browsers.
- Maintain website security and follow best practices for updates and access management.
- Document changes, updates, and technical issues for future reference.

Requirements

- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Understanding of website backend systems and content management platforms such as WordPress or similar CMS.
- Basic knowledge of website optimization and performance improvement.
- Familiarity with databases, hosting, or server management is an advantage.
- Basic understanding of SEO and website analytics is preferred.
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and development tools.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with the team.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with WordPress backend, plugins, themes, and website customization.
- Basic knowledge of PHP, MySQL, or other backend technologies.
- Familiarity with Google Search Console, Google Analytics, or website performance tools.
- Understanding of responsive web design and mobile optimization.
- Basic knowledge of Git or version control.
- Interest in improving website performance, functionality, and SEO results.
- Basic image editing skills using tools such as Canva, Photoshop, or similar software are an advantage.
