We are seeking a detail-oriented XML Executive to join our Data & Content Technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for converting, validating, structuring, and transforming large volumes of manuscript data into XML, HTML5, and other structured formats (such as JATS, BITS, DITA, and DocBook).

You will develop, test, and maintain DTDs, Schemas, XSLT scripts, and automated parsing tools to ensure seamless content pipelines for leading academic, STM (Science, Technical, Medical), and educational publishers.

Key Responsibilities

- Convert raw unstructured content (MS Word, PDF, LaTeX, Quark, InDesign) into standard XML formats (JATS, BITS, EPUB, DITA).

- Maintain, write,



and validate DTDs (Document Type Definitions), XML Schemas (XSD), and Relax NG.

- Ensure 100% compliance with client-specific tagging guidelines and industry-standard DTD specifications.

- Write and maintain efficient XSLT (1.0/2.0/3.0) scripts for automated data transformation, extraction, and formatting.

- Develop XPath and XQuery expressions to extract, parse, and validate complex XML documents.

- Utilize automated batch-processing tools (Oxygen XML Editor, Python scripts, or custom command-line utilities) to streamline content processing pipelines.

Key Tech Stack & Skills

Required

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in CS, IT, ECE, or a related field (B.E./B.Tech/BCA/BSc).
- Experience: 2–5 years of hands-on XML processing/conversion experience within digital publishing, STM publishing, or content outsourcing.
