We are seeking a detail-oriented LaTeX Paginator to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for converting, typesetting, and paginating complex academic journals, technical manuals, and STEM books using LaTeX and automated XML workflows.You will work closely with editorial, design, and project management teams to deliver print-ready and digital deliverables that meet publisher specifications.

Key Responsibilities

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Printing Technology, or any related field.

- Experience: 1–4 years of hands-on experience in LaTeX composition/pagination within an STM or academic publishing environment.

- Pagination & Composition:Typeset and paginate complex academic books, STM journals, and technical manuals using LaTeX.

- Workflow Execution: Work within First XML and automated typesetting workflows to process structured content accurately.





- Template & Style Management:Implement, adjust, and maintain custom LaTeX templates, style files, and macro packages according to publisher specifications.

- Asset Integration: Align and format complex mathematical equations, chemistry structures, tables, figures, citations, and bibliographies with high precision.

- Quality Assurance:Perform thorough self-checks and quality control on page layouts, typography, widow/orphan management, and spacing rules.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration:Coordinate with project managers, copyeditors, and quality auditors to resolve layout queries, proof corrections, and author queries efficiently.

- Delivery: Generate error-free PDF outputs (print-ready and web-ready) alongside required XML/HTML deliverables within tight turnaround times.

Key Tech Stack & Skills

Required

- Proficient in LaTeX, TeX, and related packages.
- Solid understanding of XML/HTML workflows and structured content processing.
- Expertise in rendering mathematical formulas, complex table structures, and cross-referencing.
- Familiarity with PDF editing tools (Adobe Acrobat Pro) and pre-flight quality standards.
