WAN / Android Telephony Developer Experience

Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced WAN / Android Telephony Developer with strong expertise in Android RIL, Telephony Framework, modem interfaces, and wireless communication technologies. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in debugging, integration, testing, and performance optimization of telephony features for smartphone and tablet products.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, integrate, debug, and optimize Android RIL and Telephony Framework components.
- Work on the interface between the Android platform and modem for smartphone and tablet products.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to VoLTE, VoWiFi, Voice, Call, SMS, and Data modules.
- Perform Android platform debugging, integration, testing, and performance analysis.
- Work closely with modem and chipset teams to identify and resolve device-level issues.
- Analyze logs and debug issues using tools such as QXDM, QPST, QCAT, and other Android debugging tools.
- Work on carrier-specific requirements and certification-related requirements for carriers such as AT&T;, Verizon, and others.
- Understand and implement device-level requirements and carrier specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including modem, BSP, Android framework, QA, and carrier certification teams.
- Analyze and resolve complex issues across the Android framework, RIL, Telephony,
and modem layers.
Required Skills
- 4–8 years of experience in Android RIL / Telephony / WAN development.
- Strong hands-on experience with Android Telephony Framework and RIL.
- Robust programming skills in Java, C, and C++.
- Experience with Kotlin development.
- Good understanding of Android architecture and internals.
- Hands-on experience with Android debugging and log analysis tools.
- Experience with QXDM, QPST, QCAT, or similar Qualcomm debugging tools.
- Strong understanding of VoLTE, VoWiFi, Voice, Call, SMS, and Data modules.
- Experience in debugging, integration, testing, and performance optimization.
- Understanding of carrier requirements and device-level requirements.
- Experience working with carrier requirements such as AT&T;, Verizon, etc.
Good to Have
- Experience working with Qualcomm mobile chipsets.
- Experience with Qualcomm QCRIL.
- Experience working on 5G Qualcomm chipsets/platforms.
- Knowledge of modem-RIL interfaces and Qualcomm modem architecture.
- Exposure to carrier certification and interoperability testing.
