Roles and Responsibilities The Electronics Repair Technician is responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and performing component-level repairs on a wide range of complex electronic equipment across our cinema properties. The primary goal is to minimize equipment downtime and reduce Repair & Maintenance (R&M;) outlays by repairing faulty assets internally rather than relying on expensive vendor replacements.
Key Responsibilities
Component-Level Troubleshooting: Diagnose faults in electronic circuits, PCBs (Printed Circuit Boards), amplifiers, power supplies, logic boards, and cinema projection/audio peripherals.
Precision Repairing
Perform high-quality soldering, desoldering, and replacement of micro-components (resistors, capacitors, ICs, transistors).Preventative Diagnostics: Conduct routine diagnostic health checks on sensitive digital signage, automation systems, UPS systems,
and controller units.
Logbook Maintenance
Document all repair histories, components used, failure root causes, and turnaround times in the engineering ledger.
Inventory Control
Manage the stock levels of critical spare electronic components and bench testing equipment.
Qualifications
Education: ITI, Diploma, or B.Sc. in Electronics / Electronic Mechanics / Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
Experience
2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in bench-level electronics repair, circuit board diagnostics, or service center operations.
Skills: Proficient in reading circuit schematics, using oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, IC testers, and SMD rework stations.
