Role & responsibilities
- Manage and maintain MSSQL databases, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Always On availability groups.
- Perform backup and recovery operations, disaster recovery planning, and execution.
- Optimize database performance through query tuning, indexing, and resource allocation.
- Administer and support additional databases such as Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
- Implement security best practices, access controls, and compliance measures.
- Automate routine database tasks using scripting languages like PowerShell and T-SQL.
- Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams for database design and optimization.
- Monitor database health, identify issues, and apply patches and upgrades as needed.
- Support cloud and on-premises database environments, including migration and replication.
- SOC1 and SOX control execution.
