Job Summary:

Responsible for developing, editing, and optimizing CNC/VMC programs for machining wheel components. The role involves setting up machining processes, selecting cutting tools and parameters, reducing cycle time, and ensuring dimensional accuracy and production quality.

Key Responsibilities:

- Create and modify VMC CNC programs using G-code/M-code and CAM software.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T;, and machining specifications.
- Develop machining processes for aluminium/alloy wheel components.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, inserts, speeds, feeds, and machining parameters.
- Perform tool offset, work offset, and program corrections at the machine.
- Optimize programs to improve cycle time, tool life, productivity, and surface finish.
- Support machine setup, prove-out, first-piece inspection, and production trials.
- Troubleshoot machining issues such as dimensional variation, tool wear, vibration, burrs, and surface defects.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Tool Room, and Engineering teams.
- Maintain CNC programs, revision records, tooling data, and process documentation.




- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and production standards.

Required Skills:

- Solid knowledge of VMC/CNC machining.
- Good knowledge of Fanuc/Siemens/Mitsubishi CNC controls.
- Proficiency in G-code and M-code programming.
- Knowledge of CAM software such as Mastercam, NX CAM, PowerMill, or equivalent.
- Ability to understand GD&T; and engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of cutting tools and machining parameters.
- Problem-solving and process optimization skills.
- Knowledge of aluminium machining is an advantage.

Experience: Typically 2–5 years of experience in VMC programming/machining, preferably in automotive or wheel manufacturing.

Education:

Diploma / ITI / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Manufacturing, or related field.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
