ABOUT DEESHUUMM

Deeshuumm Ventures Private Limited is a Gurugram-based creative media agency that helps brands tell stories people actually want to watch. We handle end-to-end social media management — from scripting and video production to content calendars, brand strategy, and performance marketing — for a portfolio of high-ticket clients across industries including F&B;, fintech, legal-tech, automotive, lifestyle, government, and personal branding.

We are a lean, high-output team that believes in entertainment-first advertising, culturally resonant storytelling, and holding ourselves to insanely high standards of accountability. If you live and breathe video, can turn a brief into a story, and care about every single cut on your timeline — keep reading.

THE ROLE

As a Senior Video Editor at Deeshuumm, you are not just an editor — you are a visual storyteller and a creative force. You don't wait for a shot list to be handed to you — you think about what the shot list should be. You don't just cut footage — you shape narratives, build emotion, and craft content that makes people stop scrolling.

You will shoot on-site at client locations, bring your own creative inputs to every project, and own the visual output from concept to camera to final export. You are expected to think like a filmmaker, execute like a machine, and push the creative bar higher with every piece of content you deliver.

This is not a "just edit what we give you" role. If you don't have opinions about storytelling, pacing, and what makes content great — this isn't for you.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENT

You MUST have your own laptop/device capable of running professional video editing software (Premiere Pro / Final Cut Pro / DaVinci Resolve). This is non-negotiable and a prerequisite for this role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Own the end-to-end video production process — from creative ideation and shoot planning to on-site filming and post-production.
- Shoot clean, cinematic, professional footage on-site at client locations — events,

brand shoots, behind-the-scenes, testimonials, product demos, founder stories, and reel content.
- Bring strong creative inputs during brainstorming and pre-production — suggest visual treatments, camera angles, transitions, narrative arcs, and storytelling approaches.
- Edit short-form content (Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts) and long-form content (YouTube videos, brand films, campaign films) with sharp pacing, emotional depth, and platform-native style.
- Develop a signature visual language for each client brand — ensuring consistency in tone, color grading, motion style, and editing rhythm across all content.
- Handle advanced color grading, professional sound design, subtitling, motion graphics, and text overlays.
- Collaborate closely with the Brand Managers, scriptwriters, and creative team to translate briefs into compelling visual stories.
- Take ownership of content quality — if a video goes live, your name is on it. No excuses, no "I was just told to edit this."
- Stay obsessively updated on trending editing styles, cinematic techniques, sound design, and platform-specific content formats.
- Manage, organize, and back up all raw footage, project files, and final exports with a systematic, qualified workflow.
- Travel to client shoot locations across Gurugram and Delhi NCR as required.
- Maintain and care for company camera and production equipment during on-site shoots.
- Mentor junior editors and interns when required, setting quality benchmarks for the production team.

WHO YOU ARE
- 1–2 years of hands-on experience in professional video editing and shooting (agency, production house, or creator economy experience preferred).
- Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro. DaVinci Resolve, After Effects, or motion graphics skills are a strong plus.
- You are a storyteller first, editor second — you understand narrative structure, emotional pacing, and how to build a story that holds attention.
- Comfortable behind a camera — DSLR/mirrorless shooting experience with a solid understanding of framing, composition, lighting, and audio.
- You have creative opinions and you voice them.

You push back on weak ideas and bring better ones to the table.
- Deep understanding of what works on Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Twitter — not as a viewer, but as a creator who reverse-engineers virality.
- Strong command over Hinglish/Hindi content style — you understand how India consumes content on the internet.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines without compromising quality — we run on Content Quick Commerce timelines.
- Highly organized and process-driven — your project files, folders, and exports are clean and systematic.
- Self-starter mentality. You don't wait to be told what to do — you see what needs to be done and you do it.
- Comfortable traveling to shoot locations across Gurugram/Delhi NCR at short notice.
- Bonus: Experience with CapCut, Canva Video, AI-based video tools, or motion design.
- Bonus: A personal YouTube channel, Instagram page, or any proof that you create content because you love it — not just because you're paid to.

WHAT YOU MUST BRING
- Your own laptop/workstation capable of professional video editing (minimum 16GB RAM, SSD, dedicated GPU preferred). This is a mandatory requirement for the role.
- A showreel or portfolio of previous work — client projects, freelance work, personal content, YouTube videos, anything that shows your craft and creative thinking.
- A hunger to build a career in visual storytelling, take radical ownership, and grow inside a high-output creative agency.

WHY JOIN DEESHUUMM?
- Work directly with the founders — zero bureaucracy, maximum creative freedom.
- Shoot and edit for real, high-ticket brands across diverse industries from day one — fintech, F&B;, legal-tech, lifestyle, government, and more.
- Be part of a team building at the intersection of creativity and AI — we don't just follow trends, we set them.
- A culture of radical ownership and accountability where your work directly impacts brand outcomes.
- Collaborate with a 40+ member creative team with real industry experience.
- Office located in DLF Phase 2, Gurugram — the heart of the city's business district.

HOW TO APPLY Send your resume along with a showreel or links to videos you've shot and edited. If you have a YouTube channel, Instagram page with your edits, or a portfolio of any kind — even better. We don't care about certificates. Show us what you've made.
