About the Role

VSM Scholars is looking for a skilled and creative Video Editor Trainer who can train and mentor students in professional Video Editing.

The candidate should have strong practical as well as theoretical knowledge of video editing and should be capable of explaining concepts clearly through hands-on projects and real-world examples.

Key Responsibilities

- Train students in basic to advanced concepts of Video Editing.
- Provide both theoretical and practical knowledge of video editing.
- Conduct hands-on editing classes and practical assignments.
- Teach students how to create professional videos for social media, advertisements, YouTube, reels, branding, and other digital platforms.
- Train students in video editing techniques including cutting, transitions, audio editing, effects, color correction, text animation, and storytelling.
- Guide students in creating real-world projects and developing a professional portfolio.
- Review students' projects and provide constructive feedback.
- Teach industry-standard editing practices and workflows.
- Keep students updated with current video editing trends and techniques.
- Create an interactive and practical learning environment for students.

Required Skills
- Strong practical knowledge of Video Editing.




- Good theoretical understanding of video editing concepts.
- Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, Filmora, or similar tools.
- Knowledge of motion graphics, transitions, color grading, sound editing, and basic animation will be an advantage.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to explain technical concepts in a straightforward and understandable manner.
- Creative mindset and attention to detail.
- Ability to effectively train and guide students.

Eligibility & Experience
- Minimum 6 months of professional/practical Video Editing experience is required.
- Candidates with experience as a Video Editor, Video Editing Trainer, Faculty, Freelancer, or Content Editor can apply.
- Strong practical knowledge and work samples/portfolio will be preferred.
- Candidates should have both theoretical understanding and hands-on editing skills.
