We are looking for a creative and reliable Part-Time Video Editor who can edit engaging, professional and high-retention short-form videos for Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.

The ideal candidate should understand short-form video editing, audience retention, cinematic visuals, captions, B-roll selection, sound effects and modern social-media editing styles.

Responsibilities

Edit Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts in 9:16 vertical format

Create engaging edits that maintain viewer attention

Add suitable B-roll, stock footage, images and visual elements

Use smooth cuts, transitions, zooms, effects and animations where appropriate

Add professional captions/subtitles with good timing and readability

Sync visuals, music and sound effects with the content

Improve pacing and storytelling of each video

Create clean, professional and visually attractive edits

Follow the provided script and editing instructions accurately

Make revisions based on feedback

Maintain consistency in editing style across videos

Deliver completed videos within agreed deadlines

Required Skills

Experience editing Instagram Reels / YouTube Shorts





Good knowledge of short-form content and retention-focused editing

Strong sense of timing, pacing and visual storytelling

Experience with CapCut, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or similar software

Ability to select appropriate B-roll and visual footage

Knowledge of captions, sound effects, background music and basic motion graphics

Good attention to detail

Ability to follow instructions and work independently

Reliable and consistent with deadlines

Preferred

Previous experience editing educational, legal, finance or informational content

Understanding of Indian social-media audiences

Ability to create cinematic and professional-looking short-form videos

Experience working with voice-over based videos

Basic knowledge of AI video/image generation tools is a plus
