About the Role

We're looking for a skilled Video Editor to work closely with a content creator on a mix of short-form and long-form video content. The ideal candidate has a robust eye for storytelling, pacing, and visual style, and can bring creative concepts to life across reels, podcast edits, and other content formats.

Responsibilities

- Edit high-quality videos for reels, shorts, and social media content with strong pacing and hook-driven storytelling

- Edit long-form podcast content, including trimming, multi-cam syncing (if applicable), and maintaining engagement throughout

- Collaborate with the creator to brainstorm and execute creative concepts, transitions, and visual styles

- Add sound design, music, motion graphics, text overlays, and captions to enhance storytelling

- Color correct and color grade footage for a consistent, polished look

- Organize and manage raw footage, project files, and version control efficiently

- Stay updated on platform-specific trends (Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, etc.) and incorporate relevant editing styles

- Work within tight turnaround times while maintaining quality and consistency





- Take feedback constructively and iterate quickly on edits

Requirements

- Proven experience in video editing, ideally with a portfolio or reel showcasing reels, shorts, and podcast edits

- Strong command over editing software such as Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools

- Solid understanding of editing fundamentals: pacing, continuity, rhythm, and visual storytelling

- Experience with motion graphics/basic animation (After Effects or similar) is a plus

- Good sense of sound design, music selection, and audio syncing

- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a creator/team

- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects/deadlines
- A creative mindset with the ability to translate ideas into engaging visual content

Nice to Have

- Experience editing content specifically for creators/influencers

- Familiarity with trends across Instagram, YouTube, and other social platforms

- Basic knowledge of thumbnail design or graphic design tools (Photoshop, Canva)
