Experience: 0-3 Years
nLocation: Hyderabad
nWork Mode: WFO (6 days, Monday to Saturday)
nEmployment Type: Full-Time
n
nWe're hiring a Video Editor to join our in-house creative team producing performance ad videos across three D2C brands. This is a high-volume, high-tempo role: you'll take scripts, hooks, and competitor reference videos from our Growth Managers and turn them into finished ad creative — quick, and at scale. You will not be developing creative strategy or scripts yourself; your job is elite execution against a brief, working closely with your assigned Growth Manager and using AI editing tools to hit both quality and volume targets.
Output is tracked and gamified through a points system tied to task complexity (scratch edits, swaps, hook changes), and your daily/weekly throughput is a core part of how this role is measured.
n
nKey Responsibilities
n
n
n
- Take briefs from Growth Managers consisting of a script (from Taurus/Claude), a hook or reference video (sourced via Foreplay or organic scouting), and campaign context, and produce a finished ad video.
n
- Replicate winning hooks and the first 10–15 seconds of high-performing reference creative, adapting them to our product and script.
n
- Produce across all task types in our production system — Scratch, Stock Scratch, Hard Swap, Easy Swap, and Hook Change — and meet daily/weekly point and volume targets.
n
- Use AI editing tools (captioning, voice, b-roll generation, etc.) to speed up production without sacrificing hook quality or hold rate.
n
- Produce variation videos at volume — our model depends on high-frequency ad posting, not one polished video per brief.
n
- Submit work for Growth Manager review, incorporate revision feedback promptly, and resubmit until approved.
n
- Upload approved final videos to Dropbox and hand off for platform publishing (Meta/TikTok) via the growth team.
n
- Log daily production (videos completed, task type) accurately in the team's tracking system.
n
- Stay current on what's actually working — review performance feedback on your own published videos and factor it into future edits.
n
n
nRequired Qualifications & Experience
n
n
n
- 0–3 years of hands-on video editing experience, ideally producing short-form ad or social content (Meta/TikTok/Reels/Shorts), not just long-form or corporate video.
n
- Comfortable working from a script and reference video rather than developing creative concepts independently — this is an execution-first role.
n
- Working proficiency with AI-assisted editing tools (e.g., Captions, Descript, ElevenLabs, Runway, or similar) — or a demonstrated ability to pick these up quickly.
n
- Proven ability to produce at volume without a proportional drop in quality — this role has daily output targets, not just project deadlines.
n
- Comfortable receiving frequent, fast-turnaround revision feedback and iterating same-day.
n
- Basic understanding of what makes short-form ad video work: pacing, hook strength, pattern interrupts, captions/text overlay timing.
n
- Bachelor's degree preferred, not required.
n
n
nPreferred Qualifications
n
n
n
- Experience editing specifically for D2C/e-commerce performance marketing (not just brand or organic content).
n
- Familiarity with UGC-style and creator-style ad formats.
n
- Experience working across multiple brands or accounts simultaneously.
n
- Portfolio that includes ads you can show performed well (spend, views, or client feedback).
n
n
nWhere We Expect to Find This Person
n
nThis role spans 0–3 years of experience — strong candidates may come from any of these backgrounds:
n
n
n
- In-house video editor at a D2C brand or performance marketing agency.
n
- Freelance editor who has worked primarily on Meta/TikTok ad creative for e-commerce clients.
n
- UGC or creator-content production house, editing high volume for multiple brands.
n
- Video editing role transitioning from long-form/corporate into short-form performance content, with a strong portfolio to demonstrate the shift.
n
- Early-career/self-taught editors with a strong personal portfolio (YouTube, Instagram Reels, freelance gigs) even without formal agency experience — we care more about reel quality than resume length at the junior end of this range.
n
n
nKey Competencies
n
n
n
- Fast and consistent: can hit daily volume targets without quality dropping off by the fifth video of the day.
n
- Brief-literate: reads a script and reference video and knows exactly what “good” looks like without hand-holding.
n
- Coachable: takes revision notes well and doesn't take multiple rounds personally.
n
- Tool-forward: actively looks for AI tools that make production faster, not just what they were trained on.
n
- Team player: works well with an assigned Growth Manager day in, day out — this is a close, ongoing working relationship, not a one-off vendor handoff.
n
n
nCompensation & Benefits
n
n
n
- Pay based on experience, as per market standards.
n
n
nSuccess Metrics — First 3–6 Months
n
n
n
- Consistent daily video output against target (moving from a 3/day baseline toward a 6/day target).
n
- Points generated (task-type-weighted output) meeting or exceeding daily/weekly benchmarks.
n
- Revision rounds per video trending down over time — fewer rounds means better first-pass brief comprehension.
n
- Turnaround time from assignment to first draft within team benchmarks.
n
- At least one video in your first 3 months that a Growth Manager identifies as a genuine top performer.
