US TAX ACCOUNTANT -GURUGRAM

About the Role

Gaitworks Integrated Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced US Tax Accountant to manage US tax compliance and support a growing portfolio of US clients. The role involves US tax return preparation/review, accounting review, tax compliance, client coordination and tax engagement management.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and review US federal and state tax returns for C-Corporations, S-Corporations, Partnerships, LLCs and Individuals.
- Prepare tax workpapers, supporting schedules and reconciliations.
- Review bookkeeping, general ledger, bank reconciliations and financial statements for tax purposes.
- Reconcile tax returns with underlying accounting records.
- Support multi-state tax compliance, Sales Tax and Use Tax requirements, where applicable.
- Identify tax issues, risks and opportunities and support tax planning.
- Coordinate directly with US clients regarding tax information, queries and deliverables.
- Manage multiple client engagements and ensure timely completion of tax assignments.
- Review work prepared by junior team members and provide technical guidance.
- Support bookkeeping, reconciliations, month-end close and financial reporting during lean tax periods.

Required Skills & Experience





- 4-8 years of hands-on experience in US Taxation, Accounting or Public Practice.
- Strong experience in US Federal and State Taxation.
- Experience preparing/reviewing tax returns for C-Corp, S-Corp, Partnerships, LLCs and Individuals.
- Working knowledge of US GAAP and its interaction with tax reporting.
- Experience with QuickBooks Online, Xero or similar accounting platforms.
- Strong MS Excel and analytical skills.
- Valuable written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with US clients.

Preferred

- US CPA, ENROLLED AGENT, ACCA or equivalent qualification.
- Experience with a US CPA firm, accounting/tax firm or tax advisory practice.
- Experience with US tax preparation software.
- Multi-state taxation exposure.
- Experience reviewing/supervising junior tax professionals.
