Role & responsibilities

- Provide operational support for distributed Java applications, especially those built using Spring and Spring Boot

- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues.

- Build automation for monitoring and recurring operational tasks.

- Work closely with development teams to analyse and improve reliability, scalability, and performance.

- Monitor application health and respond to alerts using tools like Prometheus and Grafana.

- Create and maintain documentation, runbooks, and operational best practices.

- Perform advanced SQL analysis (including joins, aggregations, and window functions) to support troubleshooting, data validation, and root-cause analysis.

Preferred candidate profile

- Prior experience supporting Java-based distributed applications.

- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.

- Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.

- Robust experience in automation using scripts or tools.

- Proficiency in Java

- Hands-on experience with databases: MySQL and/or MongoDB, with strong SQL skills such as joins, subqueries, and window functions.

- Knowledge of modern monitoring tools: Prometheus and Grafana.
