About the Role

We're looking for a Technical Writer who can own our help documentation and product content end-to-end. You'll work closely with the product and support teams to make sure our customers can find clear, accurate answers without needing to reach out to support.

This role leans heavily toward help docs and product content, with some scope for blog writing and SEO content over time.

What you'll do

This is a high-ownership individual contributor role.

- Write and maintain help centre articles, setup guides, and how-to tutorials
- Document new features and product updates as they ship
- Rewrite and improve existing documentation for clarity and completeness
- Work with the support team to identify gaps - what are customers asking that our docs don't answer?
- Create onboarding content that helps new users get value from Sumtracker quickly
- Write the occasional blog post or feature announcement targeting our merchant audience

What we're looking for





- 1-3 years of experience writing product documentation, help content, or technical content for a SaaS or tech product
- You can take a complex feature and explain it simply - the way a merchant would understand, not an engineer
- You're comfortable learning a product deeply - poking around, testing flows, asking questions until you get it right
- Clean, concise writing in English. No fluff, no jargon for the sake of jargon
- Familiarity with e-commerce, inventory management, or Shopify is a strong plus but not required
- You take ownership - you don't wait to be told which article needs updating

Good to have

- Experience with help desk tools (e.g., Help Scout, Intercom, Zendesk) or knowledge base platforms
- Basic understanding of SEO and how content drives organic traffic
- Exposure to writing for a global audience (our customers are spread across 50+ countries)
