Role Summary
Lead the design, delivery, and quality assurance of hands-on technical training programs in industrial automation, fluid power, and robotics. Act as the subject-matter expert and mentor for junior trainers, ensuring standardized, high-impact skilling across all three locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Curriculum & Content Ownership: Develop and periodically update training modules, lab exercises, and assessments for Pneumatics, Electro-Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Electro-Hydraulics, Sensorics, PLC (Siemens S7-1200), HMI, SCADA (WinCC), and advanced Robotics/Cobot applications.
- Advanced Program Delivery: Conduct Level-2 and advanced courses (e.g., Advanced PLC, Process Automation Advanced, Industrial Robots – Advanced with Vision, Electro-Hydraulics, Smart Sensorics)
and complex integrated Mechatronics projects.
- Cross-Domain Integration: Train on multi-technology application systems, including Cartesian/Articulated Robot cells, Mechatronics stations with multi-brand PLCs, and Process Automation trainer kits.
- Quality Assurance & Standardization: Ensure SOPs, safety protocols, and training outcomes are consistent across Location 1, 2, and 3; audit junior trainer sessions and provide corrective coaching.
- Hardware & Lab Stewardship: Oversee the commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of pneumatic/hydraulic trainer kits, motor drive rigs (DC, AC, Stepper, Servo), PLC/HMI hardware, and SCADA software licenses.
- Mentorship: Guide junior trainers on instructional techniques, fault diagnosis, and learner engagement; certify them for independent delivery of basic modules.
- Assessment & Reporting: Design practical evaluations, track competency attainment, and report training effectiveness to management.
Technical Competencies Required
- Solid hands-on expertise in Pneumatics, Hydraulics, and Electro-Fluid Power systems.
- Proficiency in PLC Programming (Siemens S7-1200 mandatory; exposure to multiple brands desirable).
- Working knowledge of HMI design (e.g., Exor eSmart10) and SCADA (Simatic WinCC).
- Experience with Industrial Robotics (Cartesian, Articulated) and Cobot integration with Vision systems.
- Familiarity with Motor & Drive technologies (DC, AC, Stepper, Servo).
- Understanding of Process Automation loops and instrumentation.
- Ability to read electrical/pneumatic schematics and troubleshoot hardware faults independently.
