JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

An energetic person who is capable of leading Verifications & Validation of New product development and/or sustaining programs. Drive quality assurance in embedded product lifecycle. QA Engineer supporting the continued design, development and quality delivery of firmware & software applications for fire products /complex systems driving and ensuring quality assurance.

Knowledge of Fire Domain is added advantage.

Lead with strategies for Verification & Validation, analyze project requirements to define system/subsystem level test plans and ensure compliance with global industry standards and regulations.

Experience in testing different communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, RS232, RS485, TCP/IP, BACnet, Modbus, UART, CAN etc.

Lead and implement scalable automated test environment in hardware and software in loop environment. Positive knowledge of Hardware Simulators.

Having knowledge on Test Frameworks at embedded systems. Integration test knowledge with debugging tools like JTAG and emulators

Good at manual and automated test execution in embedded and software systems. Good understanding of SDLC, defect life cycle

Experience in understanding requirements traceability matrix & and validate system interface at design and consumer level

Experience in automation testing and hands-on in developing automation framework

Good Working knowledge of Test Management Tools Ex. HPALM/IBM/Jira

Create Manual test cases/automation test scripts, Document and Execute the test cases that conform to the technical and functional specifications for firmware and Software applications

Document and present test results as per the QA policies and procedures

Contributes ideas on product and process improvements. Participates in design review sessions

Implement appropriate automation technologies to meet the short- and long-term goals of the company including test frameworks

Adhere to the Automation Framework for Fire domain products and enhancements EDUCATION PREFERRED:

BE/ME or B.Tech./M.Tech.



in Electronics/Communication/Electrical Engineering / Computer Science EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

Minimum 12 to 15 years of embedded products quality assurance experience required as below: Essential Competencies: Involved in all phases of product development life cycle, including requirements gathering, backlog grooming, risk analysis, planning, scheduling, test strategy, test environment, test execution, defect management, test reporting, deployment support and production issue analysis support.

Experience in Embedded Software Quality Assurance (SQA).

Experience in Verification, Integration, System Testing from End to End.

Experience in testing different communication protocols such as, I2C, SPI, RS232, RS485, TCP/IP, BACnet, Modbus. UART & CAN etc.

Cross-platform embedded QA experience with Microcontrollers and tool chains.

Understanding of functional and non-functional requirements.

Experience utilizing Agile Software Process Techniques

Relentless root cause/troubleshooting experience.

Desirable Competencies: Experience in embedded software quality assurance for Fire applications/complex embedded systems from concept through to production.

Working knowledge on IBM Rational Tool chain, DNG, RTC, RQM or HPQC or Jira

Knowledge of Hardware related testing. Diagnosing root causes complex technical failures using algorithms and simulation tools.

Knowledge of end-to-end test Management process including Python scripting / relevant programming language at embedded environments.
