Role Description The Technical Proposal Engineer is a full-time, on-site position based in the Pune Division. This role is responsible for preparing detailed technical and commercial proposals for industrial boilers and related equipment, ensuring alignment with customer requirements, industry standards, and company capabilities.

Day-to-day tasks include analyzing client inquiries and specifications, designing preliminary technical solutions, performing cost estimations, and drafting comprehensive proposal documents and tender responses.

The Technical Proposal

Engineer collaborates closely with sales, design, production,



and procurement teams to gather accurate data, optimize configurations, and support negotiations. The role also involves maintaining proposal templates, updating technical documentation, and contributing to continuous improvement of bidding processes and proposal quality.

Qualifications

- Strong technical knowledge of industrial boilers, heat recovery systems, and combustion of various biomass and conventional fuels, preferably in process industries.
- Proficiency in preparing technical proposals, tender documentation, and cost estimations, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and industry standards (e.g., IBR Code and relevant international norms).
- Effective communication and presentation skills to collaborate with internal teams and respond to customer technical queries.
- Sound analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to compare technical alternatives and recommend optimal solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline; an advanced degree or specialized boiler training is an advantage.
- Prior experience in technical sales support, proposal engineering, or applications engineering in boiler, thermal equipment, or heavy engineering sectors is preferred.
- Proficiency with MS Office tools and basic engineering calculation software; familiarity with CAD or boiler design software is beneficial.
