Role Overview:

We are looking for a hands-on Technical Lead – AI Platform Engineering to lead an AI-enabled platform engineering team. The role requires strong expertise in Python backend development, FastAPI, REST APIs, RAG, GenAI/LLM applications, and agentic workflows.

Key Responsibilities

- Translate platform architecture and product requirements into technical designs, implementation plans, sprint tasks, and engineering deliverables.
- Lead hands-on development and technical problem-solving across Python/FastAPI services, REST APIs, RAG integrations, and agentic AI workflows.
- Conduct design reviews, code reviews, technical grooming sessions, and implementation walkthroughs.
- Establish and enforce clean-code practices, reusable design patterns, secure coding standards, testability, and documentation standards.
- Validate technical estimates, monitor sprint commitments, identify delivery risks, and proactively remove technical blockers.
- Collaborate closely with AI Architects, Technical Architects, Backend Engineers, AI/ML Engineers, QA, DevOps, and Product Owners to resolve design and integration dependencies.
- Act as the primary technical interface for feature acceptance, release readiness, engineering-quality sign-off, and client demonstrations.
- Mentor senior and mid-level engineers and drive consistency in architecture, coding, testing, and engineering practices.
- Perform debugging, root-cause analysis,



technical risk assessment, and resolution of complex production and integration issues.
- Translate architecture decisions and product requirements into technical stories, acceptance criteria, implementation tasks, and measurable deliverables.
- Support production deployments and ensure applications meet security, reliability, scalability, observability, and performance expectations.

Required Skills & Experience

- 8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, including 2+ years in a Technical Lead / Lead Engineer / Senior Technical Leadership role.
- Robust hands-on expertise in Python backend development.
- Strong experience with FastAPI or comparable Python API frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of REST API design, asynchronous programming, service-oriented architecture, and production-grade API development.
- Hands-on experience building GenAI/LLM applications.
- Strong understanding of RAG pipelines, prompt engineering, embeddings, vector databases/vector stores, semantic search, and retrieval techniques.
- Working experience with LangGraph, LangChain, MCP, or comparable AI/agent orchestration frameworks.
- Strong system design and software architecture skills, including:
- Experience with AWS or another major cloud platform.
- Experience with containerized application deployment, CI/CD processes, and environment/release management.
- Strong expertise in code reviews, design reviews, technical estimation, debugging, and root-cause analysis
