Job Summary

Job Type: Full time Position: Senior DevOps Engineer Experience Required: 8 to 10 Years Location: Delhi We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Senior DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and operate highly available, scalable, and secure IT infrastructure across Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and hybrid environments.

This role requires strong technical expertise in Linux, OCI, Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD, monitoring observability, infrastructure automation, security, and production operations. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong hands-on troubleshooting capabilities, experience managing production cloud infrastructure, expertise in automation and DevOps practices, and the ability to work closely with Development, QA, Security, Database, and Operations teams to improve reliability, scalability, performance, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

- Design, deploy, manage, and maintain highly available infrastructure and applications across OCI and hybrid environments.
- Manage and optimize Linux-based production systems, ensuring high availability, performance, security, and reliability.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and related DevOps tools.
- Manage Kubernetes and Docker environments, including cluster operations, deployments, scaling, troubleshooting, and upgrades.
- Manage Docker Swarm environments and support container migration and modernization initiatives.
- Design and maintain monitoring, alerting, logging, and observability solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, OCI Monitoring, and OCI Logging.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, deployments, and operational tasks using Ansible, Terraform, Shell, Python, and Groovy.
- Manage OCI services including Compute, OKE, Load Balancer, API Gateway, Networking, Object Storage, Block Storage, File Storage, IAM, Vault, WAF, Monitoring, and Logging.
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, application, networking, container, and performance issues in production environments.
- Implement security best practices, OS hardening, vulnerability remediation, patching, secrets management, and access controls.




- Support PostgreSQL and MySQL production environments from an infrastructure and DevOps perspective, including connectivity, performance, backup, and high-availability requirements.
- Collaborate with Development, QA, Security, Database, and Support teams to improve deployment processes and system reliability.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code, automation scripts, runbooks, SOPs, and operational documentation.
- Participate in incident response, major incident management, root cause analysis, and preventive action implementation.
- Participate in capacity planning, performance tuning, scalability assessments, and infrastructure optimization.
- Design and implement backup, disaster recovery, failover, and business continuity solutions.
- Continuously improve DevOps processes, deployment automation, observability, reliability, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

- Strong hands-on Linux system administration and troubleshooting experience.
- Proven experience managing and operating Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) in production environments.
- Strong experience with Kubernetes, preferably Oracle Kubernetes Engine (OKE).
- Strong experience with Docker and Docker Swarm.
- Solid experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and automation pipelines.
- Hands-on expertise with Ansible for configuration management and automation.
- Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices.
- Proficient in monitoring and observability tools including Prometheus, Grafana, OCI Monitoring, and OCI Logging.
- Strong scripting and automation skills using Shell, Python, and Groovy.
- Good understanding of networking concepts including DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, Load Balancers, firewalls, proxies, and API gateways.
- Experience with PostgreSQL and MySQL production environments.




- Strong understanding of cloud security, IAM, secrets management, vulnerability management, and system hardening.
- Experience troubleshooting production incidents involving infrastructure, Kubernetes, applications, networking, and databases.
- Good understanding of Git, GitHub/GitLab, branching strategies, and GitOps practices.
- Excellent communication, documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in high-pressure production environments.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical discipline.
- 8 to 10 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, SRE, or Cloud Operations roles.
- Strong hands-on experience supporting production environments.

Preferred Qualifications

- OCI Certification or equivalent certifications in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience managing OKE and large-scale Kubernetes production environments.
- Experience with GitOps tools such as Argo CD and Helm.
- Experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar CI/CD platforms.
- Experience with Terraform, Ansible, Vault, and infrastructure automation frameworks.
- Experience implementing centralized logging and observability using OCI Logging, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar platforms.
- Experience managing high-availability, large-scale, and mission-critical systems.
- Experience with DR planning, implementation, backup, and failover strategies.
- Experience defining and improving SLI, SLO, SLA, MTTR, MTBF, availability, and operational KPIs.
- Experience implementing self-healing, auto-scaling, proactive monitoring, and automated remediation.
- Experience with DevSecOps practices and integrating security into CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience optimizing cloud infrastructure for performance, scalability, reliability, and cost.
