We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Coal Volumetric Surveyor with a minimum of 7 years of experience in Coal mining survey operations. The role is responsible for conducting accurate volumetric, topographical, and stockpile surveys across coal mining projects to support inventory management, mine planning, and operational decision-making. The ideal candidate should possess hands-on expertise in operating Total Station, LiDAR, , DGPS/GPS, and Drone (RTK) Surveying equipment, along with strong proficiency in AutoCAD and survey data processing software.

The incumbent will be responsible for generating precise survey data, volume calculations, contour maps, and technical reports while ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, safety standards, and industry best practices.

Key responsibilities

1. Conduct volumetric surveys of coal stockpiles, overburden dumps, excavation areas, and mine pits.
2. Perform topographical, contour, and boundary surveys for mining operations.
3. Operate and maintain surveying equipment including Total Station, LiDAR, DGPS/GPS, and Drone (RTK) Survey Systems.
4. Generate accurate volumetric calculations and reconciliation reports for coal inventory management.
5. Process and analyze drone-generated survey data, orthomosaic images, point clouds, and digital terrain models (DTM).
6. Prepare survey drawings, maps, layouts, and plans using AutoCAD and related survey software.
7. Ensure accuracy of survey data and compliance with mining regulations and company standards.
8. Establish and maintain survey control points and benchmarks across mining sites.
9. Support mine planning teams with survey data required for operational and strategic planning.
10. Monitor stockpile movements and provide periodic inventory reports.
11. Coordinate with mine operations, geology, and planning teams for survey-related activities.
12. Maintain proper documentation of survey records, drawings, calculations, and reports.
13. Ensure adherence to safety standards and statutory requirements during field survey activities.

Qualifications
1.



Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Survey Engineering, Mining Engineering, or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
2. Proven experience in operating and interpreting data from Total Station, LiDAR, Theodolite, DGPS/GPS, and Drone Surveying systems.
3. Experience in coal stockpile measurement, mine pit surveys, overburden volume calculations, and inventory reconciliation.
4. *** DGCA-certified Drone Pilot License and experience with drone mapping software will be an added advantage.

Must Have’s

1. Basic English communication skills, both verbal and written.

4. Should be comfortable driving within mine sites and remote project locations as required.
5. Valid Indian Passport.

Compensation · Net Take-Home Salary: INR ₹1,50,000 per month, after all applicable deductions.

· The agreed INR net take-home salary will remain constant throughout the employment period, subject to the terms of employment.

· The salary will be paid in South African Rands (ZAR) into the employee’s local South African bank account.

· Based on the agreed exchange rate of 1 ZAR = ₹5.90 INR, the current equivalent net salary is approximately ZAR 25,424 per month.

· The actual ZAR amount payable each month may vary due to fluctuations in the INR/ZAR exchange rate.

· Notwithstanding exchange-rate fluctuations,



the employee’s agreed net take-home salary in INR will remain fixed at ₹1,50,000 per month.

Additional Monthly Reimbursement – South Africa

· The employee will be eligible for a fixed monthly reimbursement of ZAR 4,500.

· This reimbursement is intended to cover expenses related to:

o Shared accommodation (dual-sharing basis)

o Utility charges o Medical insurance premium

· The reimbursement amount of ZAR 4,500 per month will remain fixed and constant throughout the employment period, irrespective of fluctuations in the INR/ZAR exchange rate.

· The reimbursement will be paid monthly in South African Rands (ZAR) into the employee’s local South African bank account.

· This reimbursement is over and above the agreed net take-home salary and will be treated separately from the employee’s salary.

Extra benefits In addition to the agreed salary and monthly reimbursement, the following benefits will be provided by the Company:

· Local Transportation: Shared company vehicle will be provided for local transportation, along with fuel expenses covered by the Company.

· Long-Term Visa: The Company will bear the applicable visa processing and long-term visa charges required for employment in South Africa.

· Joining Air Ticket: The Company will provide a one-way economy-class air ticket from the employee’s home country to South Africa at the time of joining.

· Annual Home Country Air Ticket: Upon completion of 12 months of continuous service, the employee will be eligible for one round-trip economy-class air ticket to the home country per completed year of service, subject to Company policy and applicable travel guidelines.

Working Hours & Leave

· Working Days: 6 days per week, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

· Weekly Off: 1 day per week.

· Earned Leave: 18 working days after completion of 12 months of continuous service, primarily for travel to India (home country).

· Leave is subject to prior approval and operational requirements.
