Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to manage and coordinate end-to-end logistics, shipment planning, transportation, dispatch, and supply chain operations across the Middle East and Africa region, with a particular focus on Saudi Arabia and Egypt .

The role will focus on ensuring smooth shipment execution, timely deliveries, transportation management, supply chain visibility, and effective coordination with internal and external stakeholders. The position will work closely with the Head of Logistics to provide operational support, maintain critical logistics information, monitor shipment progress, and proactively manage delivery risks and operational challenges.

The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in logistics, transportation, dispatch, warehousing, and supply chain operations , along with strong SAP knowledge and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders across international markets.

This role is based in Chennai and operates on a 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM IST shift. The working week is Saturday to Thursday , with Friday as the weekly off .

Key Responsibilities

? Shipment Planning & Coordination

- Coordinate daily dispatch and shipment activities based on customer orders and delivery schedules.
- Plan and arrange transportation for shipments from factories to customer locations across Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and other relevant Middle East and African markets.
- Work closely with the Head of Logistics to support day-to-day logistics planning, execution, and operational decision-making.
- Act as an operational support and coordination point for the Head of Logistics, maintaining critical shipment, transportation, and logistics information.
- Ensure timely availability of vehicles, transportation resources, and logistics partners required for shipment execution.
- Maintain updated contact details and records of transport vendors, drivers, logistics partners, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Track shipments from dispatch through delivery and proactively identify, report, and resolve potential delays, disruptions, and delivery risks.
- Coordinate closely with warehouse teams to ensure packing, loading, documentation, and dispatch readiness.




- Maintain effective communication with internal teams and multi-national stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of logistics operations.
- Maintain strong governance and visibility across the end-to-end supply chain and logistics process.
- Develop a strong understanding of business operations and ensure timely fulfilment of customer and business commitments.

? Transportation & Logistics Management
- Manage and coordinate transportation activities across Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and other Middle East and African markets.
- Liaise with transport vendors, third-party logistics providers, drivers, warehouses, factories, and destination teams to ensure smooth shipment execution.
- Monitor vehicle movement, shipment status, delivery schedules, and transportation performance.
- Proactively identify transportation risks and coordinate appropriate corrective actions to minimise delivery disruptions.
- Resolve transportation delays, vehicle availability issues, and delivery-related challenges in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure effective coordination between factories, warehouses, transporters, drivers, customers, and destination teams.
- Support effective management of freight, transportation resources, shipment tracking, and delivery performance.
- Maintain accurate records of transportation activities, shipment status, delays, and operational issues.
- Identify opportunities to improve transportation efficiency, service levels, and supply chain performance.

? Supply Chain Operations & SAP
- Leverage strong SAP knowledge to support logistics planning, shipment execution, reporting, and day-to-day supply chain operations.
- Ensure timely and accurate updates of shipment and logistics information within relevant systems.
- Monitor supply chain activities and maintain visibility across the order, dispatch, transportation, and delivery cycle.
- Prepare and maintain logistics and supply chain reports covering shipment status, delivery performance, delays, transportation activities, and operational risks.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate flow of information across the supply chain.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and support initiatives focused on process improvement, supply chain efficiency, and operational governance.
- Ensure adherence to established processes, controls, and governance requirements across logistics operations.

? Stakeholder & Vendor Management
- Maintain strong relationships with transport vendors, logistics partners, warehouse teams, factory teams, customers, and internal stakeholders.
- Coordinate effectively with stakeholders across different countries, cultures, and time zones.
- Serve as a key coordination point between the Head of Logistics and operational stakeholders.
- Ensure timely communication of shipment status, operational challenges, delays, and critical escalations.




- Escalate significant logistics and supply chain issues to the appropriate stakeholders with relevant information and recommended actions.
- Support effective stakeholder communication to ensure continuity and smooth execution of logistics operations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with logistics partners to support reliable transportation and service delivery.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- 15–20 years of experience in logistics, transportation, dispatch, warehousing, or supply chain operations.
- Strong experience working in manufacturing, factory, warehouse, distribution, or FMCG environments.
- Extensive experience in shipment planning, transportation coordination, logistics operations, and supply chain management.
- Experience managing logistics operations across international or multinational markets is preferred.
- Candidates with strong exposure to Middle East and Africa logistics operations will be preferred.
- Arabic-speaking candidates will be given priority.

Required Skills

- Strong understanding of transportation, logistics, distribution, and end-to-end supply chain processes.
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience in logistics reporting, shipment tracking, freight management, and transportation coordination.
- Strong knowledge of dispatch planning, delivery management, warehouse coordination, and transportation operations.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, coordination, and relationship management skills.
- Strong customer-service orientation with the ability to manage internal and external relationships effectively.
- Solid analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- High attention to detail with a strong focus on process governance, operational control, and supply chain visibility.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and operational challenges in a quick-paced, international environment.
- Strong ownership and accountability for shipment execution, delivery commitments, and logistics performance.
- Ability to work effectively with multi-national teams and stakeholders across different regions and time zones.
- Strong understanding of freight management and shipment tracking systems.
- Arabic language proficiency will be a significant advantage.

Preferred Experience

- Experience in the FMCG industry.
- Exposure to logistics and supply chain operations across the Middle East and Africa region.
- Experience managing shipments to Saudi Arabia, Egypt, GCC countries, or African markets.
- Experience working with international transportation vendors and logistics partners.
- Strong exposure to SAP-based supply chain and logistics operations.
- Arabic language proficiency.
- Experience supporting or working closely with a Head of Logistics, Supply Chain Director, or senior supply chain leadership.
