Role Description The Student Counselor role is a full-time, in office position based in the Greater Delhi Area. The counselor will guide prospective and current students on suitable courses, institutions, and study pathways, including options for education in Australia and other destinations.
Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting consultations, assessing academic and personal profiles, explaining admission and visa processes, and maintaining accurate records of student interactions. The role involves regular communication with students and families, coordination with educational institutions, and participation in information sessions, events, and outreach activities. The counselor is expected to provide skilled, unbiased advice,
deliver high-quality customer service, and support students through the entire application and enrollment journey.
Qualifications
- Strong student counseling skills with experience in guiding learners on academic pathways and study options.
- Career counseling abilities to help students explore future opportunities and align education choices with career goals.
- Excellent communication skills, including clear spoken and written English, and the ability to explain complex information simply.
- Customer service skills focused on responsiveness, empathy, and maintaining long-term professional relationships.
- Understanding of education systems, admission requirements, and international study options, particularly in Australia.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, Psychology, Management, or a related field; relevant certifications are an advantage.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment and uphold non-discriminatory, student-centered practices.
- Proficiency with basic office software and CRM or student management systems is beneficial.
