About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented State Head – Odisha to lead and drive business growth across the state.

The incumbent will be responsible for developing the Odisha market, strengthening distribution, building and leading high-performing sales teams, developing key relationships and driving sustainable revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

- Drive overall business development and revenue growth across Odisha.
- Develop and execute the state sales strategy in line with organisational objectives.
- Build, manage, mentor and expand a strong sales and distribution team.
- Identify new business opportunities across corporate, institutional and channel segments.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, channel partners, intermediaries and key stakeholders.
- Drive business through appropriate agency, broker, corporate and other distribution channels.
- Ensure achievement of monthly, quarterly and annual business targets.
- Monitor sales performance, productivity, pipeline and team effectiveness.
- Conduct regular market mapping and identify new territories and business opportunities across Odisha.
- Build a sustainable sales pipeline and continuously improve business conversion.
- Coordinate closely with Operations, HR, Training and Management for smooth business execution.




- Ensure adherence to company policies, processes, compliance and quality standards.
- Provide regular business performance updates, market intelligence and MIS to senior management.

Candidate Profile

- Graduate/MBA or equivalent qualification preferred.
- 8–12 years of relevant experience in Insurance, Insurance Broking, BFSI or allied financial services.
- Proven experience in State/Regional Sales Leadership and team management.
- Solid track record of business development, revenue generation and target achievement.
- Good understanding of the Odisha insurance/BFSI market and established local business network will be an advantage.
- Strong exposure to team building, distribution development and relationship management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation and stakeholder-management skills.
- Strong target orientation with the ability to independently develop and scale the state business.
