About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented State Head – North East to lead and drive business growth across the North Eastern region.

The incumbent will be responsible for developing the regional business, strengthening distribution, building high-performing teams and driving revenue through effective sales and relationship management.

Key Responsibilities

- Drive overall business development and revenue growth across the North East region.
- Develop and execute the state/region-wise sales strategy in line with organizational objectives.
- Build, manage and mentor a strong sales and distribution team.
- Identify recent business opportunities and develop relationships with key corporate, channel and institutional clients.
- Drive business through appropriate agency, broker, corporate and other distribution channels.
- Monitor sales performance, productivity, business targets and team effectiveness.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and business partners.
- Ensure achievement of monthly, quarterly and annual business targets.
- Conduct regular market mapping and identify potential business opportunities across the region.
- Coordinate closely with internal teams including Operations, HR, Training and Management for smooth business execution.




- Ensure adherence to company policies, processes, compliance and quality standards.
- Provide regular business updates, market intelligence and performance reports to senior management.

Candidate Profile

- Graduate/MBA or equivalent qualification preferred.
- 8–12 years of relevant experience in Insurance, Insurance Broking, or allied financial services.
- Proven experience in regional/state-level sales leadership.
- Strong exposure to team handling, business development and revenue generation.
- Established market network and strong relationship-building skills will be an advantage.
- Strong understanding of the North East market and business environment preferred.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation and stakeholder-management skills.
- Strong target orientation with the ability to build and scale business teams.
