Job purpose The Paramedic will be responsible for providing emergency and primary healthcare services, assisting medical professionals in patient care, and ensuring efficient emergency response and transport services. The role requires a dedicated healthcare professional with experience in handling emergency situations, patient stabilization, and assisting in medical procedures.

Duties and responsibilities

- Provide pre-hospital emergency care, stabilization, and transport of patients.
- Assist doctors and nurses in patient care, including minor procedures and dressings.
- Respond promptly to emergency calls and provide first-aid treatment.
- Operate and maintain medical equipment, including defibrillators, oxygen delivery systems, and emergency kits.
- Ensure proper documentation of patient conditions, treatments provided, and referrals made.
- Assist in outpatient and inpatient services, including minor OT procedures and maternity care.
- Support immunization services, cold chain management, and non-communicable disease screening.
- Work closely with medical officers, nursing staff, and teleconsultation specialists to provide coordinated healthcare.
- Conduct patient education and awareness activities on preventive healthcare measures.
- Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) for emergency response and patient management.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in ambulances and patient care areas.

Qualifications / Certifications/ Skills

- GNM with relevant experience.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in emergency medical services, ambulance operations, or hospital settings.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is preferred.
- Proficiency in handling emergency medical equipment.
- Ability to work in remote and challenging environments.
- Robust communication and interpersonal skills.

Job location: Chennai

Timings: 8 hrs.

Workdays: 6 days in a week

Required Languages:

· Able to Speak, Read and Write in English and Hindi and local language.
