- Thind Eye Hospital is seeking registered Staff Nurses to provide secure, compassionate and evidence-based nursing care to ophthalmic patients
- The nurse will assess patients, record vital signs and relevant history, implement medical instructions and prepare patients for investigations, procedures or surgery

- Responsibilities include pre-operative verification, patient identification, consent and checklist support, medication administration within authorised practice, eye-drop instillation, cannulation where competent and monitoring for changes in condition
- The nurse will provide clear pre- and post-operative education regarding medicines, eye protection, hygiene, activity restrictions, warning signs and follow-up

- They will promptly recognise and report deterioration, allergies, medication errors, falls, infection risks or other safety events and assist during emergencies according to hospital protocols
- The role requires accurate and timely nursing documentation, handover communication and maintenance of patient confidentiality





- Nurses will follow hand-hygiene, standard precautions, injection safety, biomedical-waste segregation and infection-control practices and may assist in OPD, day-care, OT or recovery areas depending on assignment and competency

- They will check emergency equipment and supplies, maintain ward or clinical stock and coordinate with doctors, optometrists, counsellors, pharmacy and OT teams

- Participation in audits, quality indicators, incident reviews, drills and continuing education is expected

- Candidates must hold valid Nursing Council registration and demonstrate empathy, clinical discipline and professional communication

- Knowledge of ophthalmic procedures and experience in a surgical day-care environment will be advantageous
- The ideal nurse remains calm during busy clinical activity, respects patient dignity and contributes actively to a culture of safety, teamwork and excellent care
