Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain SAP applications using ABAP and ABAP Objects based on business and functional requirements.
- Develop and maintain OData services using SAP Gateway for integration with SAP Fiori/UI5 applications and external systems.
- Work on OData V2/V4 services, including entity sets, associations, navigation, CRUD operations, filtering, sorting, pagination, and data handling.
- Develop and configure OData services using SAP Gateway Service Builder (SEGW).
- Implement OData methods such as GET_ENTITY, GET_ENTITYSET, CREATE_ENTITY, UPDATE_ENTITY, DELETE_ENTITY, and deep entity operations.
- Develop custom ABAP reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, function modules, BAPIs, RFCs, BADIs, user exits, and customer exits.
- Develop and consume APIs and interfaces using OData, REST, SOAP, RFC, BAPI, and IDoc technologies.
- Work closely with SAP functional consultants and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
- Develop backend services required for SAP Fiori/UI5 applications and ensure seamless frontend-backend integration.
- Work with CDS Views, AMDP, Open SQL, and HANA-optimized ABAP development in SAP S/4HANA environments.
- Analyze existing custom developments and perform performance tuning and optimization of ABAP programs and database queries.
- Troubleshoot ABAP and OData issues using tools such as ABAP Debugger, ST22, ST05, SAT, SM37, SLG1, /IWFND/ERROR_LOG, and /IWBEP/ERROR_LOG.
- Test and troubleshoot OData services using SAP Gateway Client (/IWFND/GW_CLIENT) and other API testing tools.
- Perform unit testing, integration testing, defect resolution, and production support activities.
- Analyze production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement permanent technical fixes.
- Prepare technical specifications, development documents, unit test cases, and technical documentation.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to SAP development standards and coding best practices.




- Coordinate with cross-functional teams during SAP implementation, rollout, migration, upgrade, and enhancement projects.
- Manage development objects and transports across Development, QA, and Production environments.
- Ensure developed solutions meet requirements for performance, security, scalability, maintainability, and data integrity.
- Support integration between SAP and third-party applications through APIs and other interface technologies.
- Stay updated with contemporary SAP development technologies such as S/4HANA, CDS, RAP, OData V4, and SAP BTP.

Eligibility:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development, with strong expertise in OData.
- Strong experience in ABAP, ABAP Objects, and SAP Gateway.
- Hands-on experience in developing and implementing OData services using SEGW.
- Strong understanding of OData concepts, CRUD operations, entity sets, associations, navigation, filtering, expansion, and pagination.
- Experience working with SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA environments.
- Strong knowledge of CDS Views, Open SQL, database concepts, and HANA-optimized development.
- Good hands-on experience with BAPIs, RFCs, IDocs, BADIs, user exits, customer exits, and enhancement frameworks.
- Experience in developing and consuming REST/OData APIs.
- Knowledge of SAP Fiori/UI5 integration and backend service development.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills using standard SAP technical tools.
- Good understanding of ABAP performance optimization and database tuning.
- Experience with AMDP and HANA database programming is preferred.
- Knowledge of RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model) and OData V4 is an added advantage.
- Experience with SAP implementation, support, rollout, upgrade, or migration projects.
- Good understanding of software development lifecycle, testing, documentation, and SAP transport processes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with functional, integration, and UI teams
