Responsibilities

- Handle end-to-end procurement of CAPEX, infrastructure, engineering, and facility-related items for manufacturing plants.
- Receive and evaluate purchase requirements, specifications and BOQs from Engineering, Maintenance, Projects and Administration teams.
- Identify and develop suitable vendors/suppliers for machinery, equipment, electrical items, fabrication, civil work, HVAC, utilities, safety equipment and other infrastructure requirements.
- Obtain and compare quotations, techno-commercial offers, and vendor proposals to ensure competitive pricing and suitable specifications.
- Conduct commercial negotiations with suppliers regarding price, payment terms, delivery schedules, warranty, installation and after-sales support.
- Prepare and release Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure proper documentation and approvals as per company procedures.
- Coordinate with internal departments and vendors to ensure timely delivery, installation and commissioning of CAPEX and infrastructure items.
- Track CAPEX budgets and purchase commitments and coordinate with Finance/Accounts for budget availability and payment-related matters.
- Evaluate vendor performance based on quality, cost, delivery, service, and compliance.
- Coordinate with vendors for site visits, measurements, technical discussions, and project execution wherever required.
- Manage procurement of civil, electrical, mechanical,



plumbing, HVAC, fire-fighting and other infrastructure works/materials.
- Support procurement for new plant setup, plant expansion, machine installation, relocation, and modification projects.
- Maintain proper records of RFQs, quotations, comparative statements, POs, invoices, vendor documents, and CAPEX purchase records.
- Follow up with suppliers for delivery, pending materials, warranty claims, replacements, and service issues.
- Develop alternate sources and ensure cost optimization and reduction in procurement lead time.
- Ensure purchases are made in compliance with company procurement policies, approved budgets, and quality requirements.
- Coordinate with Stores, Engineering, Maintenance, Finance and Project teams for smooth receipt and closure of purchases.

Required Skills

- Graduate in any field.
- 35 years of experience in Purchase/Procurement, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience specifically in CAPEX, infrastructure, engineering, and project procurement.
- Good knowledge of vendor development, negotiation, comparative statements, and PO processing.
- Positive understanding of technical specifications, BOQs and commercial terms.
- Proficiency in MS Excel (Pivot Table, X Look Up, Power Query preferred) and ERP/Procurement software. (SAP Business One preferred
- Strong negotiation, follow-up, communication, and vendor-management skills.
