Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled .NET Data Engineer to join our team and play a critical role in building an AI-driven Submission Management and Reserving Platform for the insurance industry. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in C#, .NET, SQL Server, Azure, ETL processes, API integrations, and React.js, with the ability to design robust data pipelines, build scalable applications, and deliver high-quality reporting solutions.

This role requires hands-on experience in data engineering, backend development, cloud technologies, and front-end development, along with a robust understanding of software engineering best practices. Prior exposure to insurance, underwriting, reserving, or submission management processes will be a significant advantage.

Role & responsibilities

Data Engineering & ETL

- Design and implement scalable ETL processes to import, cleanse, transform, and load data from CSV files, APIs, and external systems into SQL Server.
- Develop reusable and parameterized SQL Stored Procedures for data migration and transformation.
- Ensure data pipelines, import utilities, and stored procedures are idempotent and capable of handling duplicate records, partial failures, and missing data.
- Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks after every import or migration process.

.NET Development
- Design and build .NET applications, Azure Functions, and data processing utilities using C#.
- Implement asynchronous and concurrent processing for high-volume data workloads.
- Develop resilient API integration services with authentication, retry mechanisms, logging, and exception handling.




- Build and maintain services using Dependency Injection, Configuration Management, Azure Key Vault, and Azure App Configuration.
- Work extensively with Entity Framework Core and LINQ for database operations.
- Develop and maintain automated unit and integration tests.

API & Integration Development
- Integrate with third-party systems and APIs such as Salesforce and other external platforms.
- Implement OAuth, Bearer Token authentication, and secure API communication.
- Design and maintain API request/response models and data mappings.

Front-End Development
- Develop and maintain responsive web applications using React.js and TypeScript/JavaScript.
- Build reusable UI components and front-end libraries.
- Collaborate closely with backend and business teams to deliver seamless end-to-end solutions.
- Optimize front-end applications for scalability and performance.

Reporting & Analytics
- Design and maintain KPI reports, dashboards, SQL views, and reporting datasets.
- Translate business reporting requirements into efficient SQL queries and reusable reporting components.
- Support operational and business intelligence initiatives.

DevOps & Documentation
- Manage source code through Git and Azure DevOps.




- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps YAML.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for data flows, mappings, business rules, and data quality issues.

- Knowledge of AI-enabled platforms and analytics solutions.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
