Position: Sr. Manager – Purchase & Vendor Development

Location: Wada - Mumbai

Experience: 15 - 18 Years

Industries: Engineering

Responsibilities:

- Lead end-to-end purchase and vendor development activities for engineering/manufacturing requirements.
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans for direct and indirect materials.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop new suppliers based on quality, cost, capacity, and delivery capability.
- Handle technical sourcing, RFQ, techno-commercial evaluation, negotiation, and finalization of suppliers.
- Drive cost reduction through price negotiation, value engineering, localization, and alternate sourcing.
- Assess supplier capacity, capability, infrastructure, quality systems, and manufacturing processes.
- Conduct supplier visits and shopfloor assessments to evaluate production and process capabilities.
- Develop alternate/local suppliers to reduce dependency and improve supply continuity.
- Negotiate commercial terms, payment conditions, lead time, MOQ, and long-term supply agreements.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Production, and R&D; teams for technical and sourcing requirements.
- Monitor supplier performance related to quality,



cost, delivery, and responsiveness.
- Drive supplier improvement, corrective actions, and development plans for critical vendors.
- Support current product development through supplier identification, localization, and component development.
- Maintain purchase MIS, supplier performance reports, cost-saving data, and sourcing documentation.
- Lead the Purchase & Vendor Development team and ensure timely material availability as per production requirements.
