SUMMARY OF THE ROLE In this role, you will manage and execute operational purchasing activities for Indirect Materials and services, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and compliant procurement in line with Group Purchasing policies, principles, and procedures. By collaborating closely with local stakeholders and Group Purchasing teams, you will support business objectives through efficient sourcing, supplier management, and continuous improvement of procurement processes.
This role is based in Ranjangaon, Pune, and reports to the Purchase Manager.
Responsibilities
- Plan and manage procurement requirements for assigned indirect material and service categories in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Source, evaluate, and select suppliers while supporting supplier qualification and audit activities where applicable.
- Partner with user departments to optimize specifications and ensure cost-effective procurement solutions.
- Negotiate and establish contracts and agreements in line with purchasing objectives, policies, and approved purchasing processes.
- Implement and monitor global/regional sourcing agreements, and manage purchase orders through the ERP system as required.
- Track supplier performance, ensure invoice compliance, drive category management initiatives, and report key purchasing KPIs to the Purchase Manager.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in raw material purchasing, supply chain operations, and import processes, including customs and regulatory compliance.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills; proficient in English, advanced Excel, and ERP/SAP systems.
