Position: Sr. Engineer - Maintenance

Location: Vapi

Responsibilities

- Plan and execute preventive and breakdown maintenance of mechanical equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical failures and minimize machine downtime.
- Maintain equipment such as pumps, compressors, gearboxes, motors, conveyors, reactors, furnaces, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and other process equipment.
- Conduct regular inspection of machinery and identify potential failures.
- Prepare and maintain preventive maintenance schedules, checklists, and maintenance records
- Coordinate with production teams to ensure timely maintenance and smooth plant operations.
- Supervise maintenance technicians, fitters, and external contractors.
- Ensure proper alignment, lubrication, fitting, and installation of mechanical equipment.
- Maintain adequate inventory of critical spare parts, tools, and consumables.
- Analyze recurring breakdowns and implement root-cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions.
- Assist in equipment installation, commissioning, modification, and improvement projects.
- Follow company safety procedures, SOPs, PPE requirements, and statutory guidelines.
- Maintain maintenance reports, breakdown history,



and equipment records.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability, productivity, and maintenance cost

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of industrial mechanical maintenance.
- Good understanding of pumps, gearboxes, bearings, valves, compressors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
- Ability to perform mechanical troubleshooting and RCA.
- Knowledge of shaft alignment, coupling, lubrication, vibration, and bearing maintenance.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, and P&IDs.;
- Valuable team-handling and communication skills.
- Knowledge of MS Office/Excel and maintenance documentation.
- Experience in a chemical, metal, refinery, manufacturing, or precious-metal processing plant will be preferred

Required Qualification: - Diploma/B.E/B.Tech - Mechanical

Salary :- Upto 6.00 LPA
