1. Oversee all aspects of in-house tool manufacturing, maintenance, development, and testing.
2. Efficiently Lead and direct a team for a common goal set for department & organization.
3. Develop, improve and adhere to the tool room systems in line with the ISO 9001, ISO14001 and other industry specifications.
4. A key member to APQP team to support the advance planning and identification of need to tools/jigs /fixtures for manufacturing.
5. Ensure the tools/jigs fixtures are manufactured made available on time for the PPAP production lot.
6. Develop and maintain the PM plan of tools and ensure conformance to PM schedule in order to optimize up-time in the plants.
7. Development of team with inhouse capability of tool and die design and assembly.
8. Support BD& Design with the tooling techno-commercial estimate in a timely manner for meeting the NPD targets and timeline.
Responsibilities :
1. Identification of the tool /jig fixture requirement for the manufacturing process.
2. Designing of the tool /jigs /fixture
3. Manufacturing planning and executing the manufacturing activities for tooling (in house /outsourced)
to meet the targets
4. As a part of APQP team member- support NPD/ Manufacturing with the on-time availability of right tools/jigs fixture.
5. Developing PM plan for tools /dies and effective execution
6. Controlling and planning of critical spare tools and dies to address break downs with a minimal loss on production
7. Supporting with a special process execution / Creative solution for proto/samples manufacturing for NPD.
8. Maintain tool/die design records as per established procedure in line with the ISO 9001.
9. Supervise and manage tool room resources and facilities with a focus on cost control and resource optimization.
Preferred candidate profile :
- Knowledge of 2d-3d cad designing software.
- Experience with sheet metal tooling
- Experience on working with CNC machines and programming.
- Awareness on ISO 9001, 14001 system requirements, APQP process awareness
- Analytical approach , positive communication skills, good team player and a leader.
