Position: Sr. Designer Instrumentation & Controls
Business Unit: Power Business Unit (PBU)
Work Location: Chennai
Experience: 8 to 15 Years - Senior Designer
Qualification: Degree/ Diploma
:
- Read Project specification, highlight the significant points and circulate to design assistant / Designers to take care during the preparation of drawings.
- Preparation/verification of deliverable list with respect to drawings.
- Ensure to follow the workflow procedures in preparation of drawings as described in QMS.
- Follow QA/QC standards in exchange information with other disciplines and for Inter department check.
- Drafting, detailing,
scheduling as per instruction of Engineer and Lead Engineer.
- Highlight the issues to Engineer found in input drawings during the preparation of drawings.
- Coordination with other discipline designers/Engineers for interface checks and to get the issues resolved.
- Review and Provide mark up for Vendor drawings.
- Verification of prepared drawings with respect to check list and project specification.
- Review and assist Engineer for inter departmental check and to provide markups.
- Ensure timely production & quality of allocated works.
- Assist Design engineer in preparation of BOQ take-off, Cost and Detailed Estimate.
- Verification of BOQ take -off, Cost and Detailed Estimate prepared by Designers.
- Responsible for scrutinizing the Drawings with desired quality to submit to client.
- Verification of the scrutanized files done by Design assistant / Designers with respect to submission requirements.
- Reviewing client comments, update the drawings and preparation of compliance statement with responses.
- Preparation of 3D Modelling, clash detection and find the solution for the issues.
- Frequent follow up with design assistant and designers to meet schedule.
- Able to work in SPI INTOOLS database tool and deliver I&C; engineering & design drawings
- Guide Design Assistant & Designers whenever requires technical support.
- Review the drawings prepared by Design Assistant & Designers.
- Assist in day-to-day department operations whenever necessary.
- Assist Engineers and Managers in the project deliverable requirements.
- Shall have good knowledge of Civil3D/BIM.
