– Solid Waste Management Expert

Reports To: Head – Operations / EHS

Job Purpose

Responsible for implementing, monitoring and improving solid waste management operations across multiple sites, ensuring efficient waste collection, segregation, processing, recycling and disposal while maintaining safety, compliance and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end solid waste management operations across sites.
- Ensure proper segregation, collection, storage, transportation, processing and disposal.
- Conduct site inspections, waste audits and identify operational gaps.
- Monitor manpower, contractors, vehicles, equipment and daily operations.
- Ensure compliance with applicable environmental and waste-management requirements.
- Track waste generation, recycling, recovery and disposal through accurate MIS.
- Develop and monitor site-wise KPIs and performance dashboards.
- Train supervisors and frontline workers on SWM, safety and SOPs.
- Identify opportunities for recycling, resource recovery and cost reduction.
- Investigate discrepancies between reported data and actual site conditions.




- Prepare weekly/monthly reports for management and recommend corrective actions.

Required Qualification & Experience
- Degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Waste Management or related field.
- 3–4 years relevant experience in solid waste management/environmental operations.
- Experience managing multiple sites and large manpower teams preferred.
- Strong knowledge of waste segregation, recycling, composting, MRF/processing operations and environmental compliance.
- Good Excel/MIS, reporting, team management and field coordination skills.

Ideal Candidate: A hands-on field professional who can manage operations, people, contractors, compliance and data across multiple locations. Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
