About the Role

Daystar Solar is looking for an experienced and confident Solar Liaison Executive to manage coordination and follow-up with Government departments, electrical authorities and other statutory agencies for our solar projects.

The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, strong negotiation and follow-up abilities, and hands-on experience in solar project approvals, net metering, and government liaison activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate with TANGEDCO/TNPDCL Offices and relevant government authorities for solar project approvals.
- Handle and follow up on net-metering applications, feasibility approvals, inspections, meter installation, and commissioning.
- Coordinate with electrical inspectors/CEIG and other statutory authorities wherever applicable.
- Visit TANGEDCO and government offices for application submission, follow-up, inspections, and approvals.
- Coordinate with customers, project engineers, installation teams, and management to ensure timely completion of approval processes.
- Prepare, submit, and track required documents, applications, drawings, test reports, and certificates.
- Maintain project-wise trackers for applications, approvals, inspections, and meter installations.
- Identify approval-related issues and coordinate with the concerned authorities for resolution.
- Provide regular updates to the management on the status of pending approvals and project milestones.
- Maintain professional relationships with TANGEDCO officials, government personnel, customers, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure all documentation and liaison activities are completed accurately and within the required timelines.

Experience & Qualification

- Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering or any relevant discipline is preferred.
- Minimum 6 months 1 year of relevant experience in Solar EPC, renewable energy, electrical projects, TANGEDCO liaison, government liaison, or statutory approvals.
- Experience in solar rooftop/net-metering processes will be highly preferred.
- Experience dealing with TANGEDCO/TNPDCL or other electricity-board authorities will be an added advantage.
