Responsible for developing and implementing automation solutions using VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) and other relevant tools. The role involves streamlining processes, enhancing efficiency, and supporting the team in delivering high-quality automation projects.
Key Responsibilities
- VBA Development:
o Design, develop, and maintain VBA-based solutions to automate repetitive tasks and processes.
o Create macros and scripts to enhance functionality in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
o Debug and optimize existing VBA code for improved performance.
- Process Automation:
o Collaborate with stakeholders to identify automation opportunities within business processes.
o Integrate VBA solutions with other automation tools such as RPA (Robotic Process Automation) platforms.
o Ensure scalability and reliability of automation solutions.
- Data Management:
o Handle data extraction, transformation, and reporting using VBA.
o Work with large datasets to generate insights and automate reporting processes.
o Ensure data accuracy and integrity in automated workflows.
- Collaboration and Support:
o Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver tailored automation solutions.
o Provide technical support and training to team members on VBA-based tools and solutions.
o Document processes, workflows, and code for future reference and knowledge sharing.
- Continuous Improvement:
o Stay updated on the latest VBA techniques and automation trends.
o Proactively suggest improvements to existing processes and solutions.
o Participate in team discussions to enhance overall automation strategies.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) for Microsoft Office applications.
- Solid knowledge of Excel automation, including formulas, pivot tables, and advanced data manipulation.
- Familiarity with SQL and database management for data integration.
- Basic understanding of RPA tools (e.g., UiPath, Automation Anywhere) is a plus.
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of other programming languages such as Python or .NET.
- Experience with ETL/ELT processes and BI tools.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and project management tools.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in VBA or automation tools are an advantage.
