About the Role

We are looking for an experienced SDE-2 to contribute to feature development and help scale our operations. At the SDE-2 level, we expect engineers to have solid software engineering fundamentals along with deeper expertise in specific technical areas.

Frontend development will be the primary focus, while experience with backend systems, infrastructure, or DevOps practices is highly valued. Experience with Kubernetes is an added advantage.

Requirements

Desired Skills

- 4+years of experience building and maintaining web applications at scale.
- Strong fundamentals in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
- Hands-on experience with at least one popular frontend framework, such as React or Angular.
- Basic understanding of authentication and authorization mechanisms.
- Knowledge of WebRTC and WebSockets.
- Working knowledge of Node.js and Apache Kafka.
- Experience with AWS services, such as EC2, S3, CloudFront, SES, and Lambda.
- Experience with backend systems, infrastructure, or DevOps practices is highly valued.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

1. Take ownership of feature development from design through deployment, working closely with product and design teams.

Participate in production operations, including incident response, debugging, maintenance, and continuous system improvements.
3. Collaborate with other teams on cross-functional projects and proactively understand the complexities of their systems.
4. Provide technical support to customers for deployments, integrations, and debugging.
5. Mentor junior team members and support their technical and professional growth.
6. Contribute to improving the scalability, reliability, and performance of the application.
